THE fixture scheduled for Carlisle on Sunday has been cancelled because of course frozen in places.
Track officials had been forced to acknowledge beat on Saturday afternoon after temperatures plunged on Friday night.
Clerk of program Andrew Tulloch said: “we have drawn stumps, the thermometer transpired to -9C yesterday and with the forecast we now have the frost will not turn out.”
Sunday’s other fixtures at Leicester and Navan aren’t likely to be at an increased risk with no inspections are in the offing at either course.
